Longing...?

The girls brought me a "song" they wrote and this is how it went:
I wish I had a brother, to push me on the swing
or when I get tired or hungry, he'll be there for me.
I wish upon a star. I'll make my dream come true.
He'll be like a baby brother even though he's not.
I'll never leave home without him, until he dies
then I'll wish upon another little star -
I wish I had a brother.
I said "well, you have TWO brothers" they looked at me very seriously and said,
"that's not the kind of brothers we want".

Who really Cares??

So, I've had several people request photos of the house. I've been postponing it because it seems strange to post pictures like "here look at my house". Since the requests, nay the demands :) keep coming... here are a few of my favorite places in our new home:

Master Closet... Steve is already about to run out of room. I told him he better not start creeping over on my side :) We came from a house that had tiny closets and so my clothes weren't even IN our bedroom. It is soo nice to be able to open a door and have all of my clothes right there. It's my favorite room in the house.

Pantry. My quality of life has greatly improved with this pantry. I can access all of my large and awkward appliances that were never used before because they were too much of a pain to get to.
I finally have room for all of my food storage. Our builder thought we were some kind of nuts when we explained the size of pantry we wanted. He kept trying to downsize it and finally we told him "We believe that in case there is a situation that we can't get to the store or the store shelves are bare... we want to be self-sufficient" imagine the blank stare we received. I should have gone with my friend Lori's explanation "It's our Costco room". We used to have food storage literally in every room of our other house, including the master bedroom shower stall. Not having this issue any longer makes the pantry my favorite room of the house. (Did I already say that?)

"What is it, I don't think it's a scarf." (Doesn't she look cute in her Snuggy? I think the Snuggy was all four kids favorite gift.)

It's not a scarf, it's a... a... hat, yeah that's right, A HAT!
